It studies the relative status of the subject in the texts selected and the functions performed by engagement with it, the approach to the phenomenon, narrative strategies employed, and the way in which, in some cases, jealousy is the actual product of the writing. Other significant issues are the extent to which subjectivity is constituted via engagement with jealousy, the forms of subjectivity involved, and the literary techniques used to model it.
